Muhammad Aliyu
Collaboration

Let's collaborate on ecosystem research.

I partner with researchers, universities, and policy labs on data-driven approaches to understanding innovation ecosystems and founder mobility.

Research Partnership

For academics and think tanks. We co-develop methodologies, share datasets (e.g. patent/mobility data), and co-author high-impact papers.

  • Joint Grant Applications
  • Methodology Review
  • Data Sharing Agreements

Gen AI Training & Speaking

Practical generative AI training for organisations and learners — from prompt engineering to building custom AI workflows — plus speaking on innovation ecosystems and AI governance.

  • Gen AI Masterclasses (Prompting to Pipelines)
  • AI Strategy for Business & Research
  • Innovation Ecosystems Keynotes

Strategic Advisory

For regional development agencies. I help design measurement frameworks to track ecosystem health beyond vanity metrics.

  • Metric Design
  • Program Evaluation
  • Network Analysis

Ways to Engage

I take on a limited number of engagements per quarter and am currently taking 2 coffee chats a month with Seed-stage founders and Policy Researchers.

Exploratory

Coffee Chat

30-min virtual coffee. Best for quick feedback on a research idea, finding common ground, or saying hello.

Professional

Speaking & Advisory

Guest lectures, conference talks, and advisory sessions on innovation ecosystems, AI methodology, and research strategy.

Common Questions

Are you open to speaking at virtual events?

Yes. I regularly speak at virtual summits and webinars. I prioritise events focused on Africa, Europe, innovation policy, and AI governance.

What's your availability for collaboration?

I'm in the early stages of my PhD, so I have selective availability. I prioritise collaborations that align with my research on entrepreneurial ecosystems, regional connectivity, and innovation policy.

Can you help review my startup pitch?

Generally no. My focus is on ecosystem-level dynamics rather than individual venture consulting. I'd recommend finding mentors with domain expertise in your specific industry.

Do you supervise or mentor research students?

Not formally at this stage. However, I'm happy to provide feedback on research ideas related to entrepreneurial ecosystems, innovation networks, or AI methodology through a coffee chat.
